Biggest tender in the world for EV charging points on private property for the Dutch government

GreenFlux is proud to provide the most innovative charging infrastructure for the Dutch government together with Unica. The order is one of the world’s largest contracts for charging points on site. It includes the construction, management and maintenance of the infrastructure for electric mobility at more than 100 government offices in the Netherlands. The construction is part of the government’s ambition to allow 20% of the vehicle fleet – over 31,000 vehicles – to operate fully electrically by 2020.

Specifically, Unica and GreenFlux will realize the construction, management and maintenance of 1,000 charging points, 600 of which will be delivered this year. These charging points are intended for both official cars and private cars of employees and visitors. GreenFlux will provide its advanced cloud based smart charging technology. This prevents high investment costs to increase the existing grid connection and allows drivers to charge their cars at maximum capacity. This results in three to four times faster ROI on the charging points for the Dutch government. In addition, GreenFlux will deliver a sustainable solution for 150 existing charging stations. These will be upgraded using the GreenFlux award-winning Smart Charging Controller. This contributes to the sustainable objective of the Dutch Government Real Estate Agency to prevent unnecessary waste.

Jurjen de Jong, CEO of GreenFlux: “We are very happy and proud to supply this innovative charging infrastructure to the Dutch government together with Unica. The Dutch EV market is one of the most innovative and competitive in the world. Internationally, we are already active in fifteen countries, spread over three continents and manage an ecosystem of 18,000 charging stations. We can also apply the acquired knowledge of this project on an international scale.”

Both parties have the ambition to jointly implement other large-scale infrastructure projects for E-mobility in the Netherlands in the future, both for the government and for private organizations. Unica has been active for 5 years in the field of building-bound installation of charging points in non-residential constructions.
